Final part! Well, final part 1 & 2... Makoto Shibata's crazy life! Of course, there's still lots left... xD Maybe. Maaybe. Originals are here and here.

Number three! Thank you, dear netbook, for throwing up a white screen halfway through the initial translation and making me start again. I think this one is a little more accurate, though, so it's not all bad. Original page here. This one is about the Camera Obscura: how it came to be, why it looks the way it does, and how it got its name.Read more... )

This is mainly about character design and relations between the Hinasakis.
This one was really, really awkward for some reason, so parts of it may be weird-sounding or incorrect. I suggest taking some parts of it with a grain of salt, just to be safe. Original page here.
Warning: this has absolutely NOT been reread since I wrote it!

I found yet MORE stuff on the FF1 site, so here it is.
This is an interview they conducted about the game with Inari and Shibata.
It mainly covers the topic of the cutscene introducing Miku to her first fight, and evoking that spooky feeling.
Nothing ground-breaking, as usual, but I found it quite an interesting read.

Volume 2. Mostly about FF2 and its spirit list (still waiting on FF1; will get on it ASAP once it arrives. I do hope there are interesting things in that, too - I don't expect to be let down.)

EDIT: Forgot the Buddha Room, oops. Added at the bottom.

Phew.

I do not know if this has actually been translated before (perhaps on the old site, but I don't remember seeing it, and it certainly isn't up now), and I had quite a lot of free time this morning (chased out of my room by crawling and flying things with too many legs, etc.). Then I spotted this during a random official site browse, and decided to do it. Most of it we already know, but there are a few nice little interesting bits in there as well. It's taken from the Himuro Investigation Report, from way back when on the original FF1 website, which has details about the mansion in the form of an investigation report by an unknown person. It IS very long, be warned. (I make it 2052 words.) It's designed to go along with the pictures on there so, if you can and want to, it's probably easiest to follow along with those. Have fun.

Quite a superbly long list in the making, here, resulting from boredom. This is what I have thought of, mostly off the top of my head, and hopefully I'll have more once Japanese FF1 gets here and I buy Japanese FF3. Most of it is random nonsense; some might be interesting to some people. We'll see. It is by no means finished - nowhere close, in fact. Much of it I'm sure people already know, but it can't hurt to rewrite it here.

Note: Some things referring to FF3 may be iffy or incorrect, since it is mightily difficult to match up terms, especially without the game in my hands. I apologise in advance if this does happen, and I'll try to check them as soon as I can. This was copy+pasted from my Notepad document, and any random line-breaks I didn't catch are due to this.
